Assessment and Rehabilitation Services (ARTS)

The team are based on the assessment and rehabilitation unit.

The assessment and rehabilitation therapy service has a particular expertise in falls and frailty, and Parkinson’s disease. 

Weekly rehabilitation programmes are provided with both physiotherapists and occupational therapists.

The service runs alongside consultant and nurse lead clinics and close working relationships are maintained for patients benefit. Referrals are often made directly from those clinics but are also referred from inpatient staff and community therapy teams.

ARTS also provide access to other services through referral including specialist nurses, social services, orthotics, speech and language, community therapy and voluntary agencies.
