Barnsley Hospital News - October 2024

In this edition of Barnsley Hospital News, we were thrilled to welcome a special guest, The Duke of Edinburgh, who visited our Community Diagnostic Centre as part of a tour showcasing the regeneration and transformation of key sites across the town.

This month also marks the beginning of the annual 'Stoptober' campaign, and smokers across Barnsley are joining in. Our hospital is proud to support the initiative through our Nicotine Replacement Therapy services, helping as many people as possible quit smoking for good.

Additionally, we're excited to introduce our "Eat, Drink, Dress, Move" initiative, aimed at improving patient recovery by encouraging them to get up, get dressed, and stay active during their stay at Barnsley Hospital. You can read all about the positive impact of this initiative in this issue.
