In this edition, take a look at our moving story on Page 1 about Ward 35. The surgical Ward Nursing Team took it upon themselves to organise a wedding on the ward for a terminally-ill patient.

One staff member even have her own wedding tiara for the bride. The team won a prestigious Cavell Star award for their compassion.

On a sport note, we also have a round-up of Barnsley Football Club visit to the hospital. Meeting the players was a cracking surprise for staff and patients. You can tell us more about what you think of these kinds of stories up our new Readership Survey.

On Page 2, read the awesome article about volunteer James. Although he's 84, he still races round the wards quicker than you can say 'spring chicken!' We're inviting the public to nominate incredible colleague like James for a 2025 Heart Award.

Elsewhere, we turn the spotlight on our new service to fix poorly knees, chat to our Healthy Lives QUIT service about stopping smoking, and meet our lovely Alcohol Care Team.

Our charity share their exciting fundraising events for 2025 - fancy diving with sharks, anyone? They also tell us more about their inspirational Breast Care Appeal.

Happy spring...
