Our Emergency Department is very busy right now and some people are experiencing long waits. If you do not require emergency care, please use an alternative such as 111 online.
This may involve attending the hospital several times a week for patients:
- who have had reconstruction surgery
- who have complex wound healing issues
- who are unsuitable to be treated by a practice nurse at their GP surgery
Follow-up clinics
Follow-up clinics are for patients who have completed their breast cancer treatment. These are currently consultant (doctor) led.
Follow-up appointments usually take place three years, and then five years, after a diagnosis of breast cancer.
Generally, these appointments take place face-to-face - however, appointments can take place over telephone, on request.
Patients will have the opportunity to discuss any issues or worries they might have post-treatment.
